About the Church
Dubai Debremewi Orthodox Church
Located in Dubai, is one of 19 Ethiopian Orthodox congregations in the Middle East, including Lebanon and the UAE. It was founded in 2016 under the patronage of St. Arsema and began its services at Holy Trinity Church in Oud Metha. Over the years, it has grown into a vibrant spiritual community. During its 9 years of service, the church has had two administrators and three executive council leaders.
Currently, the church is served by 8 priests and 15 deacons. It offers weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual liturgical services, including online programs. It also hosts Sunday School under the name “Kibre Kidusan” with over 40 spiritual associations actively participating.
The church operates under a strategic plan which outlines responsibilities for leaders and departments, based on guidelines from the Holy Synod and church law.
